The Cyr wheel is a relatively newer circus apparatus invented by Daniel Cyr and has grown in popularity over the last decade or two. It is a variation of the german wheel. Instead of having two rings connected by bars, it is simply one large hoop typically made of aluminum or steel. Since it is but a single hoop, the performer is able to spin quickly and perform very agile tricks.
It was performed in Quidam during the Arena tour, rotating with the traditional German Wheel act.
